Project PRISM (Preservation, Reliability, Interoperability, Security, Metadata)

Project PRISM (Preservation, Reliability, Interoperability, Security, Metadata) was a four-year collaborative effort from 1999-2002 between the Cornell University Library and Cornell’s Computer Science Department to develop policies and mechanisms needed for information integrity with the key research areas including long term survivability of digital information, reliability of information resources, interoperability, security, and metadata.

The PRISM project website is no longer being updated but does provide users with general details about the project http://www.library.cornell.edu/iris/research/prism/
