Last month Cornell University signed a contract with the Internet Archive to begin preserving Cornell’s online content. The Internet Archive will create an archive of Cornell’s entire web space, which is approximately eight million documents!

Project PRISM (Preservation, Reliability, Interoperability, Security, Metadata)
Project PRISM (Preservation, Reliability, Interoperability, Security, Metadata) was a four-year collaborative effort from 1999-2002 between the Cornell University Library and Cornell’s Computer Science Department to develop policies and mechanisms needed for information integrity with the key research areas including long term survivability of digital information, reliability of information resources, interoperability, security, and metadata.
